The only way to make a book called "Growing Up Emo”, is if you truly grew up in the emo scene, which is exactly what we did!

Hi, we’re The Hennessey's and the minds behind the all ages children’s book, ‘Growing Up Emo’ !
Written by Chris and illustrated by Athena, we’re an elder emo couple who had the idea to teach the next generation about the music that fueled our road trips, straightened our hair, and provided endless quotes for our Myspace pages.

This is our first ever book, and we are just a 2-person operation with all products personally designed, packaged, and shipped by us.
